The photo contest about salmon fishing in the Lagan ran as usual throughout the fishing season — until October 14 for those holding a season pass. The jury reviewed all submitted entries and selected five images for first through fifth place. Three of the prize-winners are from Denmark, one from Halmstad, and one from Mellbystrand. 2025 is the seventh season of the contest and we received 31 photos.
The first prize was awarded to Thomas Gammelgaard from Denmark, for his photo (shown above) of two anglers on the Lagan river near Kraftledningen.
Second prize went to Christel Pettersson from Mellbystrand, for her lovely shot of the dog Ufo in the boat.
Last year’s winner, Verner Borg, placed third this year with his photo from Per Karls hall.
Ashkan Akbari came in fourth with his sunset-photo from Lagaoset.
And finally, Heidi Rehorst placed fifth with her picture from Gröningen.
